This is too cute, not to share. I've had my White's MXT for about 2 1/2 years. I'm still learning how to use it. We were at a local hot springs resort last weekend and I took the opportunity to practice. Our friends' daughters (8 and 6) remembered last year's solar eclipse. I'd "seeded" the campground with coins and taught them the basics.

Well, they lined up for another try and we had a great time. They're 61 cents richer today, than they were last Friday...and I didn't "plant" nothin'!

You seeded...... the minds of those girls. Poor things, they are going to dream about finding all kind of treasure. ... no wait, that's what I do.

Sounds like your best treasure hunt ever.

Their father is talking about getting their own detector. I was only able to parrot some of the wisdom I've read on this forum. I told him mine was a mid range unit and what I paid but that many others enjoyed success with much cheaper models.

If nothing else, they'll always be able to borrow mine.

That was Very Thoughtful of You! Great Job!
