Newbie in West Virginia - information please!!!!!!!!!

Got me an Ace 250 and am anxious to use it, but Im wondering if any of the members does any hunting in WV and if so, where? I contact to obtain permission to hunt, various authorities such as the county commission, also various city parks, schools and the ususal places that you all say to go to but, I just come up with no answers! No one returns my calls. I dont know if I should take a chance and just go MDing at various public places or what? I have tried the property that I own, but the ground is so darn hard, you just cant do much good right now until we have enuf rain to loosen the soil abit. If any one is from North central WV area currently or in the past, please let me know some good local sites that are safe to MD.

hi maggiemutt, i am from jackson co , ravenswood area , i ask the local police , and hunt some of the local parks and fair areas and i do ask some private property owners and they let me hunt , also hunt the boat ramps and along roadways , glad to see someone from west virginia come on the forum
