Metal Detecting
Hi. Just joined the forum. I'm up here in the cold country of Canada. I am new to metal detecting, having just picked up a Garrett Ace 250 for a starter. I have read a lot of Eastern & Western Treasure Hunter Magazines so I have a little bit of an idea of whats happening. One thing I have noticed, those of you in the U.S. of A. seem to have a BIG problem with pulltabs, something we don't have up here in Saskatchewan, most of our pulltabs are darn near impossible to remove from the can, most people just leave them attached and some fold them inside. On the other hand we don't have the history up here eg. Civil War memoribilia, etc. Saskatchewan, Canada has only been setteled since the late, late 1800's so not the quality / quantity of "goodies" you southern folks have. The best I have found are a couple of 1920 and 1930 5 C pieces and 2 meteorites. ...Rick...

Hi Rick, :hello:

Welcome to TreasureNet. Hmmmm, so you don't have the same history but I am sure you can find some great relics and old jewelry if you hunt the right places. Oh and GOLD!! :laughing7:

I hope you meet lots of great folks here and find someone in your area that can go detecting with you. Happy Hunting!!

Peachy :tongue3:

Rick, it would be very cool to have some pictures of those meteorites.
Good luck with your hunts.
