Hi everyone,

I'm fairly green when it comes to hunting and I'm looking for advice from those who have been hunting longer than I have.

I live on the west coast of Florida and will be making a two day trip to Sebastian before heading down to the keys. My primary purpose for staying in Sebastian is to hunt the beaches.

I've done a bit of reasearch on the best beaches to detect such as bonsteel, wabasso, Ambersands, treasure shores beach access, etc. I know my research will help and I know my chances of finding something is slim at best (the hunt is the best part anyway), but I was hoping to get advice on other beaches/best place to hunt on those beaches and what to look for when hunting (black sand, cuts, etc.)

Thank you in advance!

I would post over on the Beach and Shallow Water board. Lots of saltwater hunters hang out there. There is also a board for shipwrecks which might answer your questions.

Low tide, riomar beach, in front of exposed reef/rocks. Pick the time of lowest tides. I wouldnt go any father than my ankles in the water youll get in trouble if caught. You can snorkel without metal detector if its clear. Dont forget turtle trail cross over go left along dune cut. Do not walk up the dune youll get in trouble.

Blak Bart,

Thank you so much for the info! I will definitely check that spot out.
