Newbie here from the Southeast

Hello all!! I'm Jeremy from the Phenix City, AL/Columbus,GA/Ft. Benning,GA area. Been Indian artifact hunting all my life (3 months shy of 30) with my dad but just now to the point where I'm getting more into it. Also I recently purchased a metal detector and took my first metal detecting outing last weekend and I am now hooked! Didn't find anything other than a small amount of clad and old beer cans but that was enough to get me excited for my next outting. Just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully obtain a bunch of knowledge about the hobby (I prefer to call it a sport) and hopefully meet some people from my neck of the woods. HH all.

Welcome! I grew up in Alabama, and had the misfortune of going to Ft. Benning for Basic Training.

Did mine at Paris Island..... had many of friends go through Benning though.... I couldn't imagine doing basic there in the summer with our humidity.
