Newbie from Gainesville, FL

Well I am kind of a newbie. My parents got me a Tesoro Golden Sabre used when I was about 12 and I had a blast with it, but never really understood how it worked completely or how to use it very well. I used it until I was pretty far along in high school and other things caught my interest (surprised right). I have recently decided to get back into detecting as a hobby since I have a daughter who is almost three and I think she might enjoy digging for me. I went with a waterproof detector for more fun at the beaches.

I have a used White's Beach Hunter ID with the 9.5 inch coil and am trying to figure it out. I guess I'm not much smarter than I was as a 12 year old! But I am looking forward to having a good time with my daughter and my son who is due later this year.

I found this site while doing research on detectors and although I would have loved an Excalibur as they seem to be a fan favorite on the site it was out of my price range. The site has a lot of incredible information that helped me figure things out to this point and I am sure will educate me in the future.
