Hey all, I am new to treasurenet and metal detecting. Got my Ace 250 about 2 weeks ago. I am in Greeley, CO so am limited right now as it is cold and froze. Had a friend mention the other day he needed to find his property marker and had no idea where it was. I told him I had a new detector and would try. It was cold and windy, but after approx 1 1/2 minutes of looking I found it buried about 6 inches down. He was thrilled!!!.
Anyone out there in the Greeley CO area? could use the help (learning, etc). Oh by the way my other hobby is homebrewing. I currently have 4 beers on tap in the garage fridge (IPA, Belgian Tripel, Smoked Porter, Cappuccino Stout)

So my first posted find is not a treasure for me, but was a great find for a friend!

Look forward to this new hobby and learning from you all on Treasurenet!!

Welcome from the UK & theres plenty to learn on here ;D

Way to go DaddyBo! Good to see you're using your new detector for good and not evil :D. I've helped find markers a couple of times. When folks hear you've got a detector they'll say "you know, I've been looking for this property marker ....."

Yep pins are popular items for others who need our help and find it better than the several hundred bucks they have to pay surveyors. Congrats! You just made some pin picker very unhappy! They often dig too many holes looking for them anyway and do a rotten job of filling their holes.

Let me have one of those beers! (figuratively speaking fo course)

congrats on being a good neighbor and helping your bud

good luck with your digs and enjoy the discovery within each one

Welcome to T-Net from the frozen tundra of Michigan, I am hibernating, because I have 7 inches of snow on the ground and it's still coming down very heavy, not supposed to end till midnight tonight.........Hallllllllp! NGE

Congrats on finding the property stake! bet you gan't wait for warmer weather!

Fellow homebrewer here!!! last was a rasberry wheat. I like hoppy brews and stouts. I thought I would try something with a brauder appeal to family and friends for the hollidays. I bottle my brews, and got about 45 bottles. Went over pretty well with friends, family and neighbors.
All gone now!

Welcome to Tnet
