BGT mini and prospector, Gold-n-Sand.
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Hello all and a big thanks to all the information gleaned from this site over the past year. I figured it was time to register.

My story was probably like many others. I was always excited by the thought of prospecting. Being in NC I knew there was gold to be had. So I bought a set of pans and classifier and started to hone my skills. Took the kids to the creek behind the house to learn how to pan. I classified material and brought it into the kitchen to pan it out. I put BBs and lead pellets in my pan along with material to see if I could recover them. Well, I did. I was hoping to see some black sand in there too. About 11 pm that night I was finishing a pan and noticed a small gold colored fleck at the bottom. Grabbed a little hand microscope and looked closer. Well, went up and woke up the wife to show her my new find and have been hooked ever since.
I have learned a lot from members here, and have been honing my sluicing skills. Started out with a BGT mini and just ordered the 36" prospector.
Thanks again!
Chris

Thanks all! I have been spending most of my free time in the field now that the weather is warming up. And the neoprene gloves help!
Been getting gold in every pan, but nothing to write home about size wise.
My 36" prospector should arrive Friday so I will be able to run more material.
Thanks again for TNet. So much information, so little time!
