Hello All-
My apologies- Posted this earlier in wrong form. Darn new guys.
I live in TN close to Indian Mound and was working in the yard and found this round, what appears to be rock, and thought it might be a cannonball. However, the dimensions (4.5" dia, 4.6pds) don't match any of the charts. Thinking it could be a chunkey. We're 3 miles off the Cumberland River and this area is rich in Native American history. What has me puzzled is the appearance of a man made square hold like what an allen wrench would manipulate. I used dial calipers and it measures 0.205 x 0.203. Amazingly close tolerances.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
This site has me pumped to start looking around the rest of our 9 acres
Thanks
