Newbie armed with an Excalibur II

Greetings!

After years of thinking about it I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a metal detector. I'm an avid scuba diver so I will use it wet and dry. Hope to pick up some tips here from all you seasoned veterans.

Welcome Rik - I am also a scuba diver armed with an Excal. You have a lethal weapon in your arsenal. Remember, the excal will work on dry land, though not the best. it is awesome in the water and that's what it is made for. Your depth will be cut quite a bit while on land, so just remember that. Be patient with your machine, it will take time for you to understand what it is telling you. There is no way to explain it, you will have to put in your time and learn it - Good Luck and any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask.
