Hello everyone! I would first like to say that this is my first post on this site. I am new to detecting and have found the site to be a welth of information.

I would like to ask for some help with identifying some of the objects that I have found in the last few days. I have posted a few photos of a few of my finds. The flat metal object with slots in it is a mystery to me. I found it in a field in So. MD. The flowered pin and the lipstick tube have been the most interesting. They were found on a homesite which had been used as a boarding home for women in the late 1800's to early 1930's.

I would appreciate any coments from the "experts/pros" !

Thanks.

Nice flower pin. Could the flat object with slots be a harmonica reed?

Piece of harmonica reed and a mule shoe. Hard to see the items because the picture is small.

Nice arrowhead. Have you stumbled across arrowheads before? Im from western Maryland.

I will try to post a larger picture. Thanks for the information!

Welcome, Good luck and Happy hunting!!

It is actually a piece of twisted blue glass..... It does look like an arrowhead the way it is photographed. I poasted a closer picture of it.031514b.jpg
