new year's pick

Went back to an old garage where I bought some stuff recently on New Year's Day to buy even more.

Ended up with the following:

-coleman 501 gas stove
-"emerson electric" fan (not brass) (unknown model)
-emerson fan model 73648 brass blades
-century fan S3C-16 model 260 brass blades
-cast iron floor lamp 1 angled socket (beautiful)
-cast iron floor lamp with 3 sockets
-3 pieces of pottery (1 is signed, 1 is marked on bottom, 1 is un-marked and crude)
-old hat with weird pins all over it (thought they were gold filled, ended up being worthless junk)
-coin collection with 150 foreign coins (found 15 silver coins, an 1803 2-real Lima, and a 1797 2 penny cartwheel)
-hunting knife with elk antler handle (already sold it for $20)

Re: new year's pick

Good stuff! What kind of wierd pins were on that hat? You mean worthless because no precious metal content or worthless because you already researched them all for value?

Ok, you got me! They all stuck to a magnet and none were marked but I honestly have not yet looked them up on ebay to see if they have any collector value. If they do, I will edit this post to reflect that.

That Israel 1949 coin may be worth a little research. The state of Israel was recognized in 1948 and the first coins came out 1949.

OLD UPDATE:

This was one of my favorite picks of my life.

The best thing I got above is the 1803 Spanish Real. It ended up being a super rare variety and I traded it for over $500 worth of coins for my collection!
I restored the Emerson brass blade fan this past August. I have it in my "hobby room" looking sharp as can be along with 1 of the lamps above.
