Happy 2014 all, wishing you better luck than the last. I have really had trouble uploading pictures, so I may just start with a few then go back and add some as I can. I was lucky enough to make it out to one of my favorite spots after a good rain and had some good luck. A few nice full points, some scrapers, knives, hand axes/choppers, a bunch of flakes/chips/junk and what I believe to be primitive drills. Theres a handful I left in the vehicle and are not pictured, but I think I've got the majority here. Thanks for looking and happy hunting! IMAG6436.webp

IMAG6438.webpIMAG6439.webpIMAG6440.webpIMAG6441.webpIMAG6442.webp this piece was interesting because it almost has a spiral to it, and a flute on one side. IMAG6444.webpIMAG6448.webpIMAG6445.webp

I have seen one of these before, but wasn't sure if it was some type of core or what. It appears to be one solid piece that has been flaked off the top. IMAG6443.webp

Nice stuff boss good luck to you as well ;)

Forgot to mention, if any of you have any flakes or chips laying around that you may want to trade, then give me a holler. I have never seen material from anywhere else and would love to have a look. Happy hunting

Looks like you got some nice pieces. The last one is a flake removed and if it has work on the edges I would call it a flake tool/ knife. The point with the twist is great. I find 2 with the twist here one is called a Ecusta and the other is called a Bolen Bevel. But neither has a flute on them. Interested to find out what it is.

That site is loaded, great finds:icon_thumleft:I have never seen a point with that shape have a flute super find:notworthy:

Wow man you have a lot of goodies here! I wish I could point them out but I see some larger "Abasolo" and smaller "Catan" Arrowhead points in all that... I also see a couple of "Desmuke" points... Just my opinion but the fluted one looks like an "Early Triangular", a medium to large size Texas point, broad, triangle that is usually serrated. The base is either fluted or has long thinning strikes. Quality is excellent with early oblique transverse flaking and possible right hand beveling... A lot of good stuff here!

Appreciate the input! I have searched high and low through identification guides to try and put a name on some of my points but nothing ever seems to fit. I'll be sure to look those up now so I can try to start getting a name/type/time period associated with them. Thanks for looking and good luck!

I see you found a point with your other finds you may know the age of the tools. If you find out what the ages of the points.

Still trying to figure that out rock! Thanks. Would love to know more about who roamed the land here well before any of my ancestors.
