Yikes hotrod - I heard (never tried it) that salt and vinegar might clean them up.

Spray paint is still best! Fast easy and pretty colors like the rain bow.

Bad idea, since many coin counters will reject coins with that much corrosion. I could always clean them if I were to get them (using my tumbler), but not everyone would have one, and they would be stuck with halves they can't deposit.

::shakes her head:: marking coins is just wrong...

Oh sidenote, Sag you said you clean your coins using a tumbler. Is that a rock tumbler or is there a tumbler specially made for cleaning coins? If its a rock one, sweet! My dad got my mom a rock tumbler several years ago that they never use.

You're not supposed to clean coins...

We are not going down the marking coin route again..
