What's ur take on the new pinpointers coming out Feb 14. Whites 3 years later has finally made what looks like a good probe, Im wondering why it took so long no design its the,same as the garret & the minelabe frame.

You can make something fast.. we all know how that turns out
you can make something good.. .. won't be cheap and may take a while..
Lets hope this is the case!

True but if theres already 2 models out that are just about identical why not in that 3 year time make something of well your own idea instead of using what is already out there & stuffing in some guts persay. I do definitely want to see it in action, its alot easier to say it goes this deep & does this & that but real world tests by numerous people in various settings, time will tell. Whites is a awesome company with great everything hope its a good product

I know what you mean …Minelab copied Garretts and then they charged more and people bought them because they had the Minelab name on them.. Sounds crazy but people do things like that.

Don't think there is much choice in shapes and sizes for what the product does.. Gota fit in your hand, gota make noise or vibrate, gota be light weight, gota go down in a small hole.. Do metal detectors really look that much different form maker to maker?..coil, shaft, control, arm cuff.. It's whats in side and how well it works (which we have no real idea yet on this new PP) that counts.

I had n old bullseye for a long time, finally bit the dust, got a pro pointer needed it.
I would like to see what Whites new one will do, adjustable depth would be great!

I've never had anything made by White's so heres my chance.

I've used Whites machines for years, but their pinpointers just didn't do it for me so I bought a pro pointer. I have been a member on the Whites forum for several years and know several of the people real well. Two of these people were the ones selected to try the new pinpointer. Both of them stated that the new pointer would outdo all rivals. One of the gents has a dx-1 on all of his machines, and he stated that he could take them off, use the new pin pointer, and be very comfortable using it. They can't go into specifics on their field tests until it officially comes out in February, so I'm waiting patiently. However, I've been saving my clad for a while, and I'll be sending for a new pin pointer to use when, and if, the snow ever leaves.

I agree they have to make it so it fits your hand and goes in the hole easy. And anything has to be better than what they had !!!

Both my detectors are Garrett's so I thought I would "spread the wealth" and use another brand with my pin pointer. I bought a White's Bullseye 2 and really liked it. The switch wore out and I replaced it, but in all fairness, I really used it a LOT in the year I had it. I am excited to hear White's has a new one coming out.
