Good News! Welcome to the hobby as well as good excercise & fresh air. I myself bought a 1980's vintage Tesoro GoldenSabre MD. It was the top of theline then for that model with Discriminate & Search and notch filters. Remember to ground balance your MD. youtube has that info on videos. I now bought a Whites GMT Goldmaster and I love it because of the automatic ground balance which is the fastest I know of. Whites people at the factory will give you tips if you phone them direct! They stand behind their MD's The best point is all are made in the USA. On my outing I always pack in the car cold drinks and a compact stove for cook outs after the hunt. Went out twice this week. 1st time found a few clads and copper pennies along with a possible bracelet link. Second time today found a quarter, dime, nickel, few pennies and a lead weight.
