I am brand new to this site and wanted to share my most recent find with you all. They were found in New Mexico on private land with owners full permission. The strange thing about this site was the lack of flint other than the 2 worked pieces. I was thinking either Rio Grande or Hell Gap. Any input is welcome! This is my first attempt at uploading photos. I hope it works...Thanks for looking.

That’s a different material... atleast for me, quartzite? Looks sugary like quartzite. That base looks like a lanceolate form it could been an oldie

Yes. Its what I call sugar quartz. I find a lot tools made from it but I have very few points that are this material.

Welcome to TNet!

I'd say that the intact one is a Bajada or an Escobas, just looking in Overstreet. I'm sure someone from your area will chime in.

Kindest regards,
Kantuck

welcome to tnet . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .:hello:

Yes! Welcome!
Nice to see artifacts from NM. I also dig the photos of them on the ground where you found them.
That’s not always possible.
Please post some close up photos under good lighting (both sides would be appreciated)
Thank you

Welcome to T-net very nice first post. Look forward to more.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! It's nice to have a community to share finds with. Most of my friends and family have little interest in "old stuff"....some people just don't know what fun is! I have only recently after nearly 15yrs been able to overcome the urge to immediately pick up a find without taking an as it lay photo. Although truth be told If I am ever lucky enough to come across a full Clovis or Folsom I'm still not sure I can hold out! I tried to take a better picture with a liberty for scale. I hadn't been able to really get out and look much lately but I plan to change that real soon! Looking forward to sharing some cool stuff with you all.

Welcome to T-net. Like Kantuckeen said it could be a Bajada or Pandale JMO. Check out this site projectilepoints.net it can help you a lot. Great finds keep on hunting you are doing great.!!!

Welcome to TNet...! It is a great Forum, where folks can chime-in, and help out i.d. finds, and etc.
Looks like a fairly old style/type, but I can't help, but looking forward to what folks say it is...!
