New to TreasureNet, and still an amateur at treasure hunting

Hey there,
My name is Joe, I am in Midland, TX, for the summer of 2014, and usually reside in Dallas, TX.

I am studying for my PhD in Geophysics, and for my Senior thesis I used GPR to search for unmarked graves. I found some headstones, but unfortunately haven't gotten back to the GPR for treasure hunting.

So far I have mostly just dug up some poor quality minerals and fossils, some Topaz from Mason County, TX (which I'm planning another trip this summer), and some gold from Alaska. I'd love to start doing some more searching, especially in the West Texas area while I'm out here this summer.

Let me know if there is anyone who is willing to show me a thing or two in return for me being the grunt horse of the trip.
