New to Treasure Hunting .. what

Id like to purchase a metal detoctor this will be my 1st and i would like to buy a fairly good one but not top of the line around 700 dollars maybe more.
if you have any idea of where i should start or some good solid metal detectors i should take a look at please reply

Try to find a Fisher CZ-20 Ive seen them go for as little as $800 on ebay

Be sure to check out White's before you buy. A good pair of headphones is a good idea. There are different detectors for different types of detecting. Decide what kind of detecting you'll be doing most of the time and find a detector that fits that criteria. There is no ONE detector that is the best at everything.

2.What part of the country will you be in the most and is this the primary area you will be hunting?
3.We already know the budget but is there a particular unit you have seen you like?
4. Is there clubs for Mding around where you live?
5. What got you interested in the Hobby.?

im visiting Europe over the summer and i was looking to start my searches there. And are there any detectors that can tell me what im digging for before i dig for it ?

Like Floater said and then get a Whites MXT. It was my first machine (7 months detecting, I'm still a noob) and I love it. A multi purpose machine will be a good first choice if you are in it for the long run. You can always add to your stable when you get more time under your belt. It lets you try different hunting techniques to find out what you like and are interested in. Good luck. My 2c.
