Hello all I've spent alot of time on the sidelines watching all of you, and just decided to jump in.
My name is gary and I'm from western michigan. I'm on my forth metal detector and it's a minelab sovereign. I've been dabbling in the hobby until this year, now it seems I'm consumed. I have not had my boat out all season, if I have sparetime I'm out waving the sonarstick. I recently discovered a spot that once was a camp for logging. It also had a small gauge railroad on it. The undergrowth is super thick and so are the bugs,(2 ticks first time). Anyway I'm rambling on here, I did dig up a 1885 seated lib. dime in great shape my first visit. I've got another spot I visit from time to time that I've dug up some interesting stuff from. I'm only just coming up to speed on this forum, so I'll post pictures and more later.
Nice to meet you, do your reseach, and sometimes the best research is bootprints in the woods.
God bless
