Hello North Carolinains!

I have enjoyed looking at the post on this part of the forum. I also live in NC, in Rowan County. I love to hunt all kinds of treasure. I also love anything railroad related, especially Southern Ry. I was just curious, has anyone found anything railroad related when metal detecting or not metal detecting? I recently found an old Southern Ry. rubber flashlight in some nearby woods (corroded, don't work. You can see the post here: http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,449957.0.html ) What about you?

Blessings,

Before we moved to Iredell county we lived east of Richmond Virginia In Hanover. I found a lead hanover railroad tag in king william county. It was in the middle of nowhere! It was maybe the size around of a modern dime and you could see where some sort of wire was rusted out of it like maybe it was a hand purn luggage tag maybe. pretty kool. My Grandma now has in back in Va.

We just got through hunting a Confederate RR on the NC_VA border near Kerr Lake that was decommissioned after the war. They didn't leave much behind in the area we were hunting. We did end up digging some RR spikes about 2ft deep or deeper. I will post a video in a few weeks.
