New to the site, Montana hunting.

Hi all, I have been a lurker on the site for a while now, just decided to join the crew.

Im based in north western montana, and very new to treasure hunting and metal detecting hobby.
I enjoy metal detecting and looking for indian artifacts in my spare time. Anyways, Ive had tough luck
at the parks in helena and great falls and I have spent a lot of time researching homesteads and ghost towns.
I just want to reach out to those montana guys with knowledge of the area. Being new to montana and metal detecting,
Im asking for assistance of where i can go legally and hunt and get some tips on etiquette, techniques, and what to expect.
I understand those who want to keep their sites secret and spend time and experience on this hobby, and I respect that.
I own a garrett ace 250 and sifting screen.
Anyway, I hope Im welcome to the forum and can learn the trade.
