I've found my latest hobby. I've always been intrigued by stories of treasures being recovered from shipwrecks..A few years ago, I heard of Mel Fisher and his travels and experiences. A couple years later, I hear of an old shipwreck off the local beach here in Titusville, FL. The beach is however gov't property and owned by NASA as Canaveral National Seashore. You can get a pass and hike about a mile and a half past the furthest pier, but you have to pay for a "backwoods pass" and they only let a number of people back there between certain time of day...anyway, I'm now completely consumed with the thought of finding relics and treasure. I just wanted to introduce myself and see what beginner tips anyone had. I haven't purchased a detector yet, but plan to in the very near future.
Thanks and Hi guys,
