new to the rock game... please help me identify what i found!

I moved into a house recently when i was in the back yard i found an assortment of what i thought were beautiful rocks. a week goes by and a neighbor sees me digging, comes over and tells me the guy who lived there before was an archaeologist to some degree. This is a quick assortment of things found in my backyard. any help with identifying these would be appreciated due to my total lack of knowledge in the area.

In the first set of pics 4 and 6 are interesting. #6 flip it around and take a pic of the other side and also the side its sitting on.
#3 looks like Horse creek chert.
#4 Id like to see by itself all sides.

also I live in eastern NM but the man before us frequently traveled for his hunts. we are near the area of blackwater dig site(clovis man)

found a piece in front of it that looked the same and after playing around fit them together pretty nicely but i guess also gives look inside...

found a bigger rock that looked similar to this one but not even sure its the same... the big one looks a lil green and is very sandy feeling while the smaller is a copper red to black tone

sorry for all the separate replies Im on mobile using forum runner. I have tons of close ups and all side of big red looking flint stone rock and alto of pics of what i can only tell is petrified wood. maybe someone could know specifics of it. let me know if there is a need/want fir those pics and I'll take the time to post. thank you everyone for being so helpful!

Your doing great.. for not really doing anything at all but simply walking out back or front of your home and finding mostly native artifacts.. Note the axe shaped stone.. and the milling stone and more.. While there may even be soem petrofide wood.. btw.. welcome to the forum.

The best advice I can give anyone wanting to get invloved int he rock hunting.. is never expect to much.. there will be days when you don't find anything and others you may find allot.. Often one doesn't need to actuall dig for these rocks or even crystals.. it is said the in areas around the world crystals can jut up out of the ground but still be covered by leaves etc.. so a simple sweeping away of leaves etc can reveil more than one expects.

As for one of the easyest ways to get to know your rocks and finding others.. is to attend rock./mineral shows or even goto Gem mines. Most gem mines have group outing and the mine allows you to explore what the mine has actuall blown up and extracted often jsut dumping the stones etc in and open field or pit for everyone to explore.

Lastly.. lest not forget the slucing gem mine.. this is where you pay for whats called seeded buckets and can get a wide verity of stones within the bucket.. thou you will have to sift through it. often the buckets can include a free gem cut.. but if you don't find anything right away.. ask them if they can honor your cut next time or even be able to send them soemthing off site to have cut or faceted..

Well i see petrified wood some indian artifacts the one tan one with fern like paterns is called dendrites (not a fossil) the black one that has tan/white spots is most likely volcanic glass (obsidion) and the one looks like an iron concretion or maybe ryolite try a magnet hope this helps looks like you have a start of a nice collection

this petrified wood I washed in warm water to get dirt off from yard. This thing stayed hot to the touch for 30 min! i washed and took pictures and set to side, after taking all pictures of rocks i go to move it outside and it was still hot. Then i tell someone 10 min later about how freak it was,go outside to show them, and it was still warm! pretty crazy thing!

The red one might be Pet wood also.

The large rock with the depression looks like an eddy current or souse rock caused by water currents. A smaller rock spinning on a larger rock wearing a depression.
