Hey everyone, I just started the roll hunt recently and thought I'd join and post some of what I've found. I've probably gone through about $800 in halfs, $50 in cents, and about the same in nickels. Out of those I have gotten 10 40% halfs, 3 proof halfs, about 30 wheat pennies, and about 40 pre 60 nickels.
All of the silver I've found have been loose coins in the drawer, no luck in the rolls for me.
I have a few questions, do you save the cooper pennies? if so where do you sell them? Do you keep bicentennials?
Well, here are some pictures.

Any tips for a newb?

10 silvers out of $800 is a great start. Check the edge of the '76-S, it could be a 40%er also.

Welcome to the site.

Welcome and the best advise is read, read, read. All the knowledge you seek is right here!

I would say you are doing very well!

And no, bicentennials are only worth 50 cents, unless silver, or maybe a proof might be worth slightly more than face.

I find marked CWR rolls(1776-1976 etc) all the time, and its just another $10 roll of clad. Ppl need to have better collections for their kids to turn in for worthless paper!
