New to the fun

Hello everyone,
Always been interested in metal detecting so i finally got one
I live in syracuse new york so the weather is just now starting to get were I can go out and explore
I'm useing a ace 250 with the 6x9 and 9x12 coils
anY tips would be greatly appreciated.
