Hello! I'm moving into Sarasota and plan on hitting the beaches with my Infinium. I'm also looking for information on local lore, legend, lost junk (or gold and silver), old shipwrecks. Any tips or info is greatly appreciated, until then I'll get back to digging matchbox cars and pull tabs out of the beaches!
My infinium is new to me too. I've only taken it out once but it did great and I was impressed. The matchbox car was at about 18 or 20 inches in wet sand. Found a junk metal ring at about 10 inches.
As free time allows I'm going to be looking for great places to hunt for bits of lost history. Gold, silver or just interesting old stuff. So if you have any info or tips let me know!
Also I'm curious what other machines people are using on the sand and in the water and their experiences and impressions. I got the infinium because it's a PI (deep) and seems pretty versatile.
I'm also getting into snorkeling and spearfishing and diving classes are coming up if anyone is into that, give me a shout.

Hi Todd;
I live pretty close, in Bradenton. I just got an infinium too but it PROBABLY will be my back up machine. I've been digging with it for several weeks and finds have been pretty minimal. Went out yesterday with my excal and got a gold ring and lots of clad. Hope to meet you soon! If you want to relic hunt, I don't really know any places but I'm up to join you! can't seem to find any relics hunters here and I miss it!

Hi Todd and welcome to T-Net !
I live in Mo. now and do not know the areas where you are. But there are a lot of people from Fl. on here so you should not have a problem finding someone to hunt with .
Good luck and hope you find a lot to post .

Debby, How do you like that Excal? I almost got one but decided on the Garrett instead. I'm planning on getting to know this infinium pretty well before I trade it out / up for something different. Do you think your excal is missing anything? One of the reasons I got the Garrett is I could use it for hunting relics as well. Hopefully I'm happy with my machine over time. I was hitting on really deep targets and I was worried about the excal missing somethings or maybe not going as deep. I'm looking for pros / cons regarding infinium versus excal as well if you'd like to add your thoughts!
Thanks
