So am I . I have been frustrated and started to think what did I buy . I set down the deus for a few days to clear my head . I watched some vids on utube and did some more research . I came across deus skill school vid the sifter and hot program . I have been using the sifter program with success I am happy to say . I would recommend giving it a try and make sure your machine is ground balanced . I think GB was another problem I was having . Sticking with full tones and starting to see the light . coin medal 2.JPGcoin medal.JPG

I have found that I love using sifter in areas with a ton of nails. Its kind of like flexing your muscles.

I have an ATP and have went over all my permissions with the deus thinking I would find a lot more stuff . That is not happening . Not one silver coin in an area where I have pulled over 30 silver coins with my ATP . I started using three tones and fast and was digging all the junk my ATP has left behind . Bottle caps being the worst as they were ringing up as coins .

I switched to full tones and the sifter program and started having some success .I can tell a bottle cap from a coin in this program .

full tones is the best imo

One mistake that is often made when just learning the Deus is,
when first turning on your Deus make sure the coil is extended, raised above waist high and away from anything metal and EMI power source.
And be sure to WAIT until your Deus in fully initialized before putting your coil to the ground.
Stick with Full Tones and learn the adjustments for your hunting style.
Watch Videos, Read posts and practice practice practice...
Good luck & happy Hunting

Nice finds, congratulations! :occasion14:
