New to site, Always been interested in Treasure!

Hello all,

Long-time lurker here from Lynchburg VA area...

I've been interested in treasure hunting and such for a long time now. Main related interests these days include metal detecting (beginner with a beginner's detector) and the Fenn Treasure hunt. I have a decent-sized plot of private family land, about 90 acres, with ties to colonial-era living etc. Figured I'd metal detect around the old colonial roads, old foundation in the woods, etc...

I'm also working on the Fenn Treasure. There was a hunt a few years earlier (A Treasure's Trove) that I solved for one of the tokens which led me to Michigan. While I didn't find it that day, it was found there a couple months later... Been interested in those kinds of hunts since.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello!

Hi Alan!

Like you and I guess many others here, been fascinated by treasure since forever. Read National Geographics, Treasure Hunting magazine and a similar (sister?) magazine back in the late 80s, never had a detector though til about 18 mths ago. Busy trying to revive interest as already have an expensive hobby..,anyway...so what is the Fenn Treasure? Or I guess more like what is it meant to be?

Fenn Treasure is a current hunt for a cache of gold, gems, etc., hidden away somewhere in the Rockies by Forrest Fenn. There's a lot of info on it right here on this site.
