Hi Everyone,

I've been detecting on and off for about five years...probably no more than about forty or fifty hours of detecting total. Have four units, XLT, CZ-20, CZ-7a Pro and Infinium LS. Mostly do beach hunting in Galveston, although I've done some detecting in Wyoming and under the chairlifts at Grand Targhee.

This is a great forum...I've learned quite a bit just in the last few days! Anyone from Houston?...I'd love to find some new places to detect...very interested in the fresh water lakes north of Houston and any info regarding them.

Here's my measly horde so far (the gun is a 1950's Dick Tracy toy)...

Wow Beep! Looks like a very nice assortment of things. I like Dick Tracy and I see what looks like a pair of ski pole stops. Didn't know ya got snow that far south!? ;) Welcome to the forum! BTW, check your PM on a club in your area if interested.

Welcome, Beep.

Good finds. 50 hours of detecting and 4 detectors? That's only 12.5 hours use each.

Keep swinging.

Stoney, the ski pole baskets were likely found at Grand Targhee (a ski area in Wyoming just across the ridge from Jackson Hole ski area).

Do you have a road runner in your family ? ( BEEP BEEP ) ;D You guessed it... always at least one smart alec in crowd . Welcome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Welcome to the group. We get carried away some times but answer questions as best we can.

That's a nice assortment of items for only 40-50 hours of detecting. I especially like the Dick Tracy gun. Welcome to the site and happy hunting. :)

Thanks All!

It's hard to say how many hours I've actually swung the coil...40-50 hours is a guess...who knows. I think I went through an initial period where I experienced "detector envy" where, when I wasn't having a good day, I blamed the detector instead of myself (why I have 4 units with so little time in the field)...now I know better.

I'm going to the beach this weekend with the Infinium. Hopefully the treasure Gods will smile upon me.

Welcome to the forum. There's a lot to see and learn here. Good luck hunting out there. I'm fixin' to go myself today. ;D

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see some fellow texans in here. Good luck with your hunt. I'm going today to an old ghost town. Warrior

Hey Beep! Nice collection you have!

Welcome and good luck on your next outing!

Nana ;)
