;D Hi.
My name is James Warren and just got to tell you all that I have been metal detecting a couple of times. I have found 1 ring and a few coins. That was in my own back and side yard. I did get permission to hunt on about 100 acres or more today from a farmer behind my house. I have known him along time. So I have alot to cover. I know there are a couple of old places (homes) there and started to search around on this afternoon. I have alot to do just to pick up around that one and the out house so hopefully I will find something of interest. Hope everyone will have a safe Thanksgiving and Xsmas. Will keep you all informed of any findings I dig up.

Later to all
James Warren

Hi James, welcome. Looks like you found some nice stuff and have a great place to keep on seaching. Have any questions, feel free to ask...someone on this forum will have a answer or lead you to where you need to go to find that answer.
Good luck.

Hey James,

Welcome to this addiction!? I bought my first detector Oct. 14th and have located two silver rings, a bunch of clad, my first Canadian coin and last week, a big cache stash!? The cache was a plastic box buried by two teens in 1998 and containing a silver ring, two diaries, photos, plastic flag, newspaper, and a bunch of other misc stuff.? Not a find worth much, but still really exciting!? I'm fortunate to have a really great hunting buddy who's taught me a lot!? Good luck to you!? ~ MB36

Thanks for all the support. Getting cold here . Will be trying to detect as long as possible. Never knew there was this many friends in one place. Hope to meet some of you if not all one day. I am doing some reseacrh for this property and the county as far back as the 1700's got one map so far. I have also bought some books to get me though the winter to sharpen my skills for detecting. Wanting to learn as much as possible. Well you all have a great week and great hunting.

Keep hunting and have fun.
