I ordered a Tesoro Outlaw friday afternoon and it was at my door Monday at 9am.
So Monday I was just playing with it in the test garden to get more use to it.
Monday night I took it out for a couple of hours to an old site that is over grown.
My first signal and find was a 1903 indian head at 4". I've only used my 8" coil so far but will be checking out the 5" later.
I've cleaned my finds with distilled water, olive oil, distilled water again then a bio cleaner from Home Hardware.
I only found 5 coins and lots of junk because I was digging pretty much everything. Thank you Tesoro for having no screen. I absolutely love that. The discrimination on this baby is phenomenal. I got a double beep and could tell I had a good target near a bad target. Sure enough a nail 2" from a coin. That coin ended up being my 3rd ever fish scale 1906.
I also got about 12 old pull tabs like in the picture. I'm going back either today or tomorrow with the small coil and hit the area up again.
1952 penny, 1963 dime, 1964 nickel
I've found other older coins at this site in the past. The nickel didn't clean up very well like the other coins.
I'm very pleased with the Outlaw and would highly recommend it. Before I even got it I must of read the manual 6 times on line while watching all the video's.
Tesoro puts the FUN back into detecting and I won't miss my other machines at all. Love at first swing.
