Used it for the first time yesterday at the beach. I gotta tell I love this machine. I don't know if the YouTube videos I watch that kinda say it's not that great I must think they are sabotaging the detector. It's so easy to use light to swing and folks I will tell its deep I dug a zipper pull yesterday at 30" that's pretty deep. I also found my first weatback 1957d and my first gold ring. Again this is the first time I ever used the machine..

Nice ring! I also use, and like, a TDI SL. I was raised in Simi, too. Lived there from 1954 to 1965. My folks had an orange grove on Alamo St. I spent my youth helping my dad build the house at the grove. While doing that, we lived on Cochran St, about 1/2 mile east of Bottle Village, close to Stearn.

Good points of the TDI sl : You can hit targets at 30 inches. Bad points of the TDI sl : You have to dig that 30 inches of sand (which wants to keep refilling itself) LOL I plan on getting a TDI sl in the future, but I have to get a GB 2 first . Good Luck and Good hunting :)
