Went to some of my favorite fields yesterday and pulled up a first - a 1787 Bust Right Vermont Copper. Now I have VT, NY, and CT. More importantly, I found my white whale. The coin that has eluded me forever. I remember how upset I was when I brought a friend to my coin field permission and he found his first 1/2 reale - while I had never found one and wanted too. I finally did it after six years detecting, a 1776 Mexico City mint 1 Reale.

Congrats on that 1 real. And the Vermont coppers aren't very easy to come by. The New York coppers are even harder to find. Nice to have (previously) checked that one off the list too. Excellent finds. May your next big copper be a Massachusetts copper. :occasion14:

Congratualtions on the old copper! :notworthy:

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent finds and congrats on the Spanish

Big congrats on harpooning the whale!

Excellent find. Best of luck to you sir.

I think finding any coin with the year 1776 would be awesome. Finding your first Spanish reale with the year on it makes it even better. Big-O-Congrats Mister.

Welcome to the club!!!!! CONGRATZ.....

Hey nice hunt! Congrats on the Real and the copper.
