Land of Good Water
Feels like a month since I last dug and I'm sore today. It was worth it.
Found the smallest pedernales I've ever seen. I think it was made from a flake.
I'm callin it my birdie Purdy :tongue3: Happy Hunting !

Jet Black soil heavy with oil from from midden cooking. We have to screen it all.
The rocks in the 4 ft layer are huge. Once the dirt is screened it is the richest soil around.
I just got access to this spot so this was a test run. Next time I will be puttin in some test holes between the midden and the creek. This was a well established medium population camp, probably archaic to early archaic in central Texas. Looks to be almost completely untouched. Not for long.... :laughing7:

Very cool. I bet you find some great stuff at your new site. Happy Hunting! :hello2:

that is sure a little birdy that boffalo can hide all but its feet! and its friend looks mighty tall compared to it. real good looking points an many more to come i hope.. Terry

Thank Y'all for the kind words and encouragement. I'll keep posting my finds. If I locate a sweet spot we'll be seeing treasure in no time. Thanks again.
