Hello Friends,
Just a quick post of a few finds from a new site. My brother john37115 has his ankle a bit jacked up so he couldn't go today. I decided to go for a couple hours and scout this 500 acre pre-civil war homestead we got permission to hunt recently. The owner came by and picked me up in his truck so he could show me property lines, a couple springs and some other points of interest. He told me of 4 guys with detectors coming a few years back and hunting here. He said they never found much of anything to his knowledge.
He said they spread out about 30 feet apart and went all over the fields. Then he pointed out a spot where he said they gathered and hunted pretty hard. After about half an hour of riding around he brought me back and went on to tend to his cows. I thought well I believe I'll check out the spot these guys supposedly hammered. With less than an hour before dark, I made my way back to the area and started getting iron signals in every swing. Long story short I set my xl pro for a deep hunt and moved slowly. I Managed to pluck a couple nice finds out before I had to make my way back to the truck. I look forward to getting with brother John asap and returning. This site looks so perfect I can't wait.
