Went back to the old house again today.
Found another silver dime, roughly the same area as the first two:
A little closer to the house I found a flagpole mount. It's about 3" long with a diameter of about 1":
In the back yard near the driveway was this flattened tube cap; perhaps a lipstick cap?
Elsewhere in the yard was this large plated cake knife-type piece...
...and an older pewter spoon bowl:
The top soil layer has a lot of iron in it, much like all the soil in this area. I ran the 8x11 DD coil on full sensitivity for a bit but it was going haywire until I dropped 2 bars off the sensitivity. I was still digging stuff at 6-8" though so it was ok. The gnats are oppressive this year and they seem to be immune to Off! which is a pain in the ass bc idk what else to use. When I get back there I'll try the small DD coil in the back yard.
