New site finds...

I've been researching a site; my wife found it yesterday while we were hiking. I don't believe anyone has lived there in about 100 years. No signs of having been detected previously either; no iron on walls, etc. Pulled some buttons yesterday while assessing the site, and some old iron and brass. We weren't going to go back today, but my wife got the fever. This morning she got me up at o'dark thirty and said let's get back out there! So off we went. Found 9 more buttons and 3 coins (or 2 coins and one medal of some sort). Also old iron of course, some curved rectangular tag with a gold outlined picture on it, a brass spigot of some sort, and I forget what else.
Can anyone ID the rectangular tag or the coin like medal that isn't a large cent?

Nice finds! Might be a cufflink for the rectangular piece and a button for the coin-like piece. I am no expert.

She have any sisters...? Ha..my wife would wake me up at dark-thirty to....go to the casino...go to Sam's Club...go to yard sales..but detecting? Pssshh, I wish! I even have a spare rig. To be honest, I did ask her if she would go detecting sometime and she actually said yes, but I think her attention span would equal that of a toddler. After 15 minutes I'm sure I'd find her in the Mobile Detecting Unit clipping coupons lol...Gerryl, congrats on a great day, your new spot, and a wife that wakes you up to go detect! Ddf.

Thanks everyone! Just to clarify, Robin doesn't really like metal detecting. The detectors make too much noise for her! However she is addicted to target recovery. She's got a pinpointer, pouch and digging tools. I have to work hard to stay ahead of her, finding and marking targets. Yesterday I rarely got to dig. If I want to dig, I have to mark a couple targets under some roots and slow her down so I get a bit ahead.
Could be worse, right? LOL I guess we make a pretty good team.
