New Site Different Stuff

We got permission to hunt an empty lot here in town, that according to the sanborn map had a home on it in 1909.
So today we spent a few hours hitting the more solid signals, ended up being a not to shabby day.
Came away with 8 wheats, 1 IH 1890, (Gina's first IH) 1 V nickel 1890 and a large assortment of older treasures to share with you all.

Also have gained permission to hunt two more sites that are bound to have more interesting finds.

I agree John, this site does show allot of promise and I am chomping at the bit for my first merc.

Our next site has an old shack on it and was were one of the first settlers of the area lived. Can't wait to hit that one.

Looks like you found a great spot. Now that you've taken the top layer of stuff off of it, go back and rework it from a different direction. You will be surprised at what you will come up with. Nice finds.

What a great mix of finds Dan, The old home sites always offer much of the every day life of long ago. I can see that kid running around looking for his lost gun. Have dug tons of toys and toy parts over the years. Kids don't get out in the yards anymore.HH
