Our pipeline of new sites/permissions have slowed up because of COVID restrictions but this Land-Mag contact had been on the back burner for about a year. (THANKS Land-Mag:hello2:) It was a fairly easy permission once he got to trust us, as he had an interest in History & Cropmarks.
Actually he once saw a cropmark that has never shown on any aerials & therefore it was unknown to the Archies. It was in the most unlikely spot of the field & if he hadn't said where it was, I would never searched it.
Therefore, the new name for this new site is 'Farmers Choice'.
On the less positive side, it's one of the smallest low yield sites we have ever done. Pretty much finished it in 1.5 hrs into the 5.5 hour hunt.
New permission is 1000 acres.

Looks like a great day to me!

Congrats on the new site. Great finds for a short hunt. Hit it again when he turns it.

Well done congratulations

Not too shabby at all for finds, with the nice cut silver and toggle both are great shape.
Getting a half dozen nice Romans are not making it Cru?

Mindblowing what you dig!

That is a fantastic day! Congratulations my friend.

Those 6 "ok" bronze look like they have pretty decent detail to them....when I first saw crop marks I was thinking crop circles as in alien crop circles :)
Bronze awl...3rd caption down lower right side?
Yay for Land Mag! And nice recoveries!

3rd bottom left, the bottom right is the Celtic Toggle.

1 issue with that, he doesn't ever plough, only direct drill. However, half of it is under a game/bird strip of corn, which they will plough. So we will keep an eye on that.

I had built up my hopes on this one a little too much, in my head I had programmed in a few days to complete the Site, plus 50 coins an outing. It was still a good day, just not the one I was hoping for.

It's a 1000 acre permission, the issue is that this was the best lead/target, & we are not in the business of trial & error of new land, therefore we don't have the time to hunt down another without good intel.
Having said that, the farmer shared another lead to try tomorrow. Lets see if he can gets 2 for 2.....

Oh like that hasn't happened with the lot of us doing this passion. Hope for the most and getting the least, more often then not-then there are the pleasers out they that makes it all worth while.
Maybe a good turn of the soil will wake it up, best of luck on the next try if you do go again.

He doesn't plough, although half is under a game strip that they do plough, so we will return then. Otherwise, it's done for now, or until I get a deeper machine.
