After having our worst August on Record we needed to start stepping it up. This meant Cru'dad doubling down on the Archaeological Research whilst I was working.(Target list now expanded)
This site was down to a team effort, I only spotted it this year after being shared a new tool by Land-Mag. It was on a farm we have done for some years but never tried this field, as our previous searches had not found any cropmarks. Although the cropmarks are fairly good on this new tool we can't find any archaeological comments on them, like all the other on this landowners land. (kind of odd)
Anyways, it was all dependent on the condition of the field after a 45 mins drive to go & see, and as luck would have it, because many fields were still stubble, this one was nicely disced up!

After less than 1 hour it was clear to us, we had a confirmed new Roman Site.

5 Hours gridding; (maybe done 50% of the area needed)

30 Roman Bronze Coins
Lead Token
Lead Cloth Seal
2 Medieval Buckles
Medieval Book Clasp (maybe?)
2 Roman 1st C AD Fibula (Brooches)
Roman Lead Seal (Military or Official most likely) - Important find, trying to get more info - It sealed important documents or boxes
Denarius of Caracalla
Denarius (badly broken) of Julia Soaemias
- Shame never had her before!
Republic Denarius 90BC of C. Vibius Pansa - Rare for us to get a Republic this old & one we need.

PS. For those wondering if I'm still getting my arse kicked, I got all 3 silvers, over 20 of the bronzes, Roman Lead Seal, & both brooches.++bits...

Nice, looks like you'll be doing some more "Roming"!

It's a boot time you started pulling your share.
Congratulations on great day of detecting.
Liking the silvers, and the bronzes.

Nice! Good detective work by Cru'Dad to put you on the good stuff.
Nope, I found the site with help from a tool Land-Mag gave us, he put the meat on the bone & printed them off for the file & so we can target the right area straight away.
Team effort.
He built up a bigger file/target list for later. This one I had already placed towards the top of the list. (once the field was available)

Looks like you are making up for lost time Cru'.....a body slam of recoveries! You've got a great team there... Cru'dad, Crusader, and last but not least, Land mag! I could go on but I think I've raved enough. :)

Very Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!!

UPDATE:

The Roman Lead Seal that are normally associated with the Military is more likely a Personal one, which is rarer in a way but then difficult to work out who they are. Looks like CCAT/AV??
