I decided to prioritise this field over the few Games Strips we have left on this 1000 Acre permission because the Spring Barley is growing pretty quick & I'm not sure how much longer we have left. Where as the Game Strips (bird cover) have yet to be drilled.
We spent 3 hours gridding the high ground with only limited success, mostly Georgian stuff & the odd Tudor find.
Therefore after lunch I moved the grid lower down for 3 hours with a much better result - 3 Silvers, 1 being the Hammered that we had targeted for the day.

Livery Button (Type I need)
1788-1800 4th (Queens Own) Dragoons Button
Tudor Button
Crotal Bell
16th & 17th C Buckles
Tudor openwork Leather Mount (broken)
Matching pair of Victorian Horse Brasses (1 busted)
1718 Halfpenny
Rose Farthing - Charles I
1848 Shilling
1711 Shilling
(Rare find for us)
Edward IV York Mint Penny

Love the Edward/York penny.... that seems kind of unusual for a find....looks like you cleaned up the area...lots of stuff in there...

This coin like most during that period come out heavily clipped (time of internal wars). They are a very rare find in good condition, & most are so far gone they can't be IDed at all.
The key by the side of the neck denotes its an Archbishop issue, but the letter to the left is gone so we don't know if its Booth or Neville.
