Hello everyone, Just aquired another new spot to hunt after calling the realtor last month. The house has been forclosed upon. These are sometimes easy to get into just by making a phone call listed on the sign. This particular house was built in 1888. It has been extensively remodled on the outside as the pictures shows but under it's skin it's an ideal oldie with lots of history in this small town and free from a lot of trash. That's the way I like em' The only bad thing is that it is next to the main street and is highly visible and noisy It sits across from Goshen Memorial Park which was home of the Central Ohio Fair in the mid to later 1800's. I have included a link for it: http://omp.ohiolink.edu/OMP/Preview...chtype=kw&format=list&p=2&Jump.x=10&Jump.y=13 The track is still there today and is used as a training track for athletes. I will try to post a picture as it looks today. In the picture off to the right upon the hill is still there and unchanged. I am going to hunt it later on. My father said that it has been hunted heavily over the years. Wonder what they missed??
I won't bore you with my long-winded story and I'll get right to my finds from Sunday:
29 Wheats. 1918-1945. Most of them were in the lower range
1 1919 Merc
A Token in which I need an ID on
1 junk ear ring
4 IH's 1902,1903, 1899, 1890
Some kind of gold plated thingy
Part of an old pistol butt
Harmony Of Boston cosmetic thingy?? I did a little research and they had quite a line of vintage cosmetics.
And My Oldest LC 1817. It was in circulation for a long time and the date is barely visible with a magnifying glass. But it is a 1917... my oldest coin ever found.
I also found some kind of ball(lead). any ideas??
I have also added a picture of an old log cabin near by. My father told me about it so I drove by. Next hunting spot
