Today I found and got permission to for a new place to hunt. This is a very, very old camping, resting and watering hole for cowboys and vaqueros driving cattle from Mexico and the southern most region of Texas to Kansas City. This particular place is a natural spring that flows hundreds of gallons a minute into a creek and was frequented at a rest stop for many, many years. For the most part, the land has been untouched and there are only a few houses nearby. If it pans out as I think it should, I'll be sure to let everyone know!! I need something good to happen for a change.

First hunt will be next Saturday at 10 am.

Watering spots are always busy and good finds should be close. Good luck! DD

Is is prone to washouts? If so, make sure you go down stream to spots which may naturally allow stuff to catch. You may have a chance to make some good finds there.

Sounds like you're ontp something there. Have a good time and good luck.
Mike

Good luck to you.

Best of luck to you Roland, sounds like your research is going to pay off. I'm sure if its been a "cowboy rest stop" for eons you're gonna have some awesome finds.

It may take you a little while but I bet you find some good items in a place like this .
Try to work out where they camped at the most , on the inside of curves of the creek .
Down the stream where a bank would catch stuff , the same places where the limbs and junk
piles up at. Things I bet you already know .

Good luck and HH .

I got permission for this Saturday for the same place!! HAHA! Good luck, and keep us posted.
