new pitures of the carpenter square

Afriend of mine received this a woman who he did some work for. The square is dated 1789. This square doesnt measure 8ths on it. It only measures by quarter inches and by the inch. Does anyone know anymore info on this? updated photos

Our forefathers did not stress over little numbers.
All measurements of houses were built to the quarter inch.
It is really just that simple.
That is a great square. Imagine the history built with it.
