Got out this morning to a place I just got. Been hunting around it for years but just got the go ahead. Found some bling today, which is pretty odd for me in the places I hunt. I think the one button may be something special, but it's too far gone to know for sure. Good luck to all. Art. Forgot to mention the one piece is a bullet encased in wood. Any help with button appreciated. I think it is an 1812 artillery button?

Nice finds mate, great variety

That bullet in the wood is incredible! There's definitely a 6 on that button. I hope someone can help you out. Congrats on a good day.

Another nice hunt.
Great finds

Looks like a hot spot for sure Trap! I love silver...old silver...and I LOVE the ring...Congrats on a very productive day..I'm sure we'll see more from there soon...Ddf

Congrats on some cool finds, quite the assortment.
I like the ring and that tool, looks like a weatherstripping tool.
Keep at that place and bring us more! I cant wait to see what else you find there.

Great finds! Quite a spread of a couple centuries you got there.

Another great hunt Art. That is indeed an 1812 Artillery button. Its a script A and it has the regiment number in the circle below it. Its either 1st, 2nd or 3rd regiment... but I think I see a 1 down there, so its most likely the one labeled 36 in this image.

Thanks for the ID

Very nice Art. A sweet ring and a wonderful rescue on the button. I'm thinking you was a milkman sometime in your working life because you always seem to deliver. It looks like the new permission is a good score.

Nice save on that button and that ring is Sweet!! Congrats!!

Very productive hunt. That new permission shows promise. Must be exciting each time you approach that site. Congratulations
