New permission pays off right away! 1857 Canadian Large Cent!!

I was able to line up two new houses on my hot street so I started the first one tonight, it was right next door to ladys house I found three
Indians and a bunch of wheats in the last week.

Normally this would have been a really good day, I found three silvers in the first yard! I also found three more wheats but the best was yet to come.

When I detected the sidewalk strip outside their fence I hit a coin spill right next to a big cottonwood tree, a bunch of dimes,pennys and a nickel.

When I went around the other side of the tree I had a solid 29 come up, I was thinking quarter, but when I dug the plug I couldn`t find it.

Once again I was about six inches off, this time I was able to see what was down there, I thought great, I just found another Kennedy half dollar,
but when I pulled it out of the ground an looked at it there was a horse on it, I didn`t have any idea what it was so I ran over to the truck and
poured some water on it and saw the date, wow! never seen anything this old before. Kinda bummed about the scratch in it tho...

That's actually provincial coinage, a year before Canadian cents first appeared. WAY larger than a Canadian large cent. I have only found one since I have started detecting and I live in Canada. Congratulations!

I agree! I have found more old stuff in the last two weeks on permissions, than nearly three months hunting public lands.
