New Okie on board

Hello to all. Just came on board & thought I would introduce myself. My name is Jim from S.E.Okla. I have been in this hobby since 1985, when I was looking for something I could get my 2 teen age boys interested in. I didn't dream it would become something I would still be doing 27 years later. My boys still go detecting some when their busy lifestyle allows them the time. I just introduced my youngest grandson who is 9 years old to treasure hunting this month. He & I are ready to go again as soon as the weather improves. To all the new Treasure Hunters out there please remember to ask permission, do your research, fill your holes & be patient. You will be rewarded with many great finds & lots of wonderful memories. thanks

Well good to see ya here, Jim. Lots of treasure tales down there in Little Dixie. I was born and raised mostly in western Oklahoma, but my family came out of the Choctaw Nation, I did live for a while in Push county, between Ice and Snow, across the hill from One Creek Valley. Great arrowhead hunting down there. I'd like to live down there again, but I'm in the mountains now, and it don't never get over 80 degrees here in the summer. GH!
