Hi Guys & Girls
My name is Corlett, I have been metal detecting in Europe, England & Portugal for just over a year now, I started like a lot of us did, an Ace 150 concentric coil, then upgraded 250 / Euroace, Teknetics G 2 and now I use the Teknetics T 2 Special edition ( nice deep machine)

I have found some very old and amazing things, my avatar was my latest find, a Roman Ananymous Silver denarius dating 86 AD. I am completely hooked and when ever I can I either hit the beach or inland.
At least it keeps you healthy digging all the trash...

Welcome from N.Y. state, USA!! The things you guys find over in Europe make our American mouths water!!

I understand. Europe is an Older nation, Legislation on the other hand in Portugal is a nightmare and it is border line illegal, very complicated and we do metal detecting at our own risk. The beach detecting I see you guys do through youtube etc is great as well as Gold prospecting, that must be a great thing to do. Allthough like everything else, through videos youtube etc etc we only see the best parts and the finds, we don´t see the fails which in this hobby are a lot..

We can only work with what we have. I see friends of mine further North in Portugal find beautifull and ancient things juat like in England but I dont´t have the same look here in the South, years ago it was the poorer part of the country therefore silver and Gold coins are very rare...
The grass allways looks greener on the other side.. lol lol lol :occasion14:
