New Moon = Low Tide = Gold

This morning was the first really good low tide in a while so I went out early.
Although I did not find many targets I did find a 10k white gold class ring that must have been a recent loss.
I will try to return it.
However, this find prompted me to re-examine a ring I found over a year ago and thought was a Cracker Jack Box ring or something.
So I set about cleaning it.....and still don't know what it is.
Maybe some of you can help?
It is plated, but the metal is copper colored, but tests as gold.
(the second photo is of the ring before cleaning)

Nice rings Fred, the red one looks vintage,,WTG:hello2:,,HH

Fred those are some awesome ring finds, the copper colored ring is old rose gold if it tests gold.Happy hunting.:icon_thumleft:

good luck on finding the lost finger to the class ring Fred. as for the Vintage one it sure looks copper on my screen
fine day at the beach.......

Rose gold is a possibility for sure. However, I have tested some silver plated rings that sure look like copper on the inside, but they tested out as 10k gold with the acid test. So I took a piece of copper electrical wire, made a scratch and it tested positive for 10k gold. Not sure if my acid test kit is off on its concentration of acid or if copper reads as 10k gold??? Nice rings none the less. Blessings, Ralph
